VTVLC, through a partnership with the Intel Corporation, now provides the Intel® Teach program. Now in its 13th year, the Intel® Teach Program is the largest, most successful program of its kind, reaching 10 million teachers in 70 countries. Intel® Teach helps K–12 teachers in the United States change the way they teach, empowering them to engage students with digital learning, including digital content, Web 2.0, social networking, and online tools and resources. Intel Teach professional development courses help teachers integrate technology effectively into their existing curricula, focusing on their students’ problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills—precisely the ones required in today’s high-tech, networked society.

Online Teaching Preparation Program

VTVLC works with teachers throughout Vermont by providing them with the tools and understanding for what makes a professional online educator. You receive professional development and support through our teacher preparation program that includes mentoring and formal coursework in teaching online.

Our teachers understand that learning does not stop when the last bell of the school day rings, but that learning is a 24/7 constant. Providing learning opportunities for students includes availability and access to their teachers. Online office hours and students’ ability to access their teacher using phone calls, email, teleconferencing and chat provide support for our students and should be considered part of the teaching responsibilities as you pursue your efforts to teach online.

If you wish to become part of the VTVLC faculty, talk with your local school administrator or contact us using the request information form.
